Deeply engaged with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) at the local, state, and national levels, Carrillo currently serves as the 2025–2027 At-Large Director on the AIA Board. She is also the Co-Founder of the Immigrant Architects Coalition, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering immigrant architects in their professional journeys. A national speaker and podcast host, Carrillo has co-authored two books—City Shapers: Stories of Immigrant Designers and Prospering in the U.S.: A Handbook for Immigrant Architects—and contributed to Latinas in Architecture. Her contributions have been recognized with several honors, including the AIA Young Architect Award (2022), AIA New York State President’s Honor Award (2023), AIA Long Island Community Service Award (2024), and the AIA New York State Matthew Del Gaudio Award (2024). Andrea Lamberti is an architect based in New York City. She collaborates with client organizations to achieve transformative, inclusive and sustainable buildings and master plans. This approach has guided her work on research, cultural, educational and academic projects, embedded within the award-winning practices of Rafael Viñoly Architects for 26 years, where she was a partner until 2023, and in the practice of Norishiko Dan and Associates in Tokyo, Japan, previously. An energetic spokesperson for the design profession, Andrea is committed to lifting individuals and society through projects, initiatives and professional organizations. Currently she is leading private residential projects and consulting to women- and minority-owned architectural practices to support growth with public, commercial and institutional clients. She served as president of AIA New York in 2022, leading with the theme of Just Practice, and currently is a member of the AIA New York State board. She received her MArch from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and her Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Deborah Moelis is a Principal at Handel Architects and has been with the firm since its founding over 31 years ago. She was recently honored with the FAIA designation by the American Institute of Architects, recognizing her influential contributions to architecture, particularly in advancing sustainable design practices. Ms. Moelis has lectured internationally about Passive House Design and served as Principal in Charge for Sendero Verde, a 709-unit residential building in New York City, which opened in 2024 and is now the largest fully affordable Passive House building in the world. She also served as Principal in Charge of Harmony Commons for the University of Toronto Scarborough, which is the largest Passive House dormitory in the world. She served in a similar capacity for Cornell Tech’s residential tower in New York City, The House, which was the largest building in the world built to Passive House standards when it completed in 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Michigan, and Master of Architecture from Columbia University, is licensed in New York and California, and became a Certified Passive House Designer in 2015. Suchi Reddy is an architect and designer exploring neuroaesthetics—the impact of design on perception and well-being. As founder of Reddymade, she integrates neuroscience and architecture to create environments that foster connection, rest, and empowerment. Guided by her philosophy, “form follows feeling,” her work spans public art, healthcare, and research on neurodiversity. Notable projects include A Space for Being, an installation with Google demonstrating consciousness. A professor at Columbia University and frequent lecturer on design and wellbeing, she champions design’s role in shaping empathetic, equitable, and enriching environments. Georgeen Theodore is an architect, urban designer, and Professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture and Design, where she coordinates the school’s Master of Urban Design Program. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Theodore is founding partner and principal of Interboro, a New York City-based architecture, urban design, and planning office. She is an expert in coordinating complex urban projects that involve many diverse stakeholders, infrastructures and ecosystems.
