Join AIA New York Chapter and New York Building Congress for a program exploring the opportunities for Transit-Oriented Development around the Interborough Express (IBX). Based on the recent Building Congress Report, Housing and the Interborough Express: Tackling New York City’s Housing Crisis One Stop at a Time, the discussion will focus on the regulatory, zoning, and financial tools needed to unlock opportunities for housing development. In conversation with land use, design, transportation, and policy experts, we will unpack the lessons learned of rezonings near transit projects, such as Penn Access, as well as the massive step forward taken with City of Yes for Housing Opportunity and critical questions on the design of the IBX project related to connectivity.
