Event Details

Yale Center for Ecosystems and Architecture (CEA) works at the intersection of the natural sciences and the AEC industry, merging built and natural systems in support of clean energy, water, air, and food. Take a deep dive with Yale CEA into novel systems harnessing on-site climate resources including solar facades for energy generation, ambient water harvesting and solar-water disinfection, and building-integrated phytoremediation systems for indoor air quality.

In this session, participants will discover opportunities to holistically address a building’s ecosystemic requirements for daylighting quality, electricity, hot water, fresh air, clean water, and control of solar heat gain.

Speakers:
Christina Ciardullo, Founder, SEArch+ and PhD, Yale Center for Ecosystems in Architecture
Mandi Pretorius, PhD, Yale Schools of Architecture and the Environment
