Launched in 2001 by Lineapelle, the two-day trade show features the most exclusive global producers of leather, textiles and synthetics, components and hardware for shoes, handbags and leather goods, leatherwear, upholstery and car interiors. Registrants of this course must pre-register for the trade show. Please use the link here. In this course, a Lineapelle Moderator Color Expert will inform participants on how color is designed and fabricated in leather, including techniques that can make new tones, following the current trends from different areas. In the workshop, participants will interact with leather color swatches to deep dive into the color scheme of leather skin including different typologies and textures such as matte, brights, metallics, and textured. Guest designers will then play with a Color Puzzle, made by sustainable sourced leather picked from Italian tanneries. These typologies of leather can be used to create a variety of building products, including flooring, wall coverings, design and furniture. This is option 1 of 2. Option 2 will take place on July 18, 9–10am. Register for Option 2 here!
