The Office of School Safety joins us to present an overview of its physical security program at The School District of Philadelphia, spanning security technologies, operational controls, physical space considerations, and security staffing. The speakers will discuss security-specific challenges and the District’s various initiatives to create a safer and more secure learning environment. Topics of discussion will include security technologies, the ongoing CCTV transformation program, active threat preparation, staffing and governance.

The discussion will also cover physical buildout and how to balance safety and security needs with sustainable design focused on a welcoming learning environment.
